Realm United is the third and final book in the Felserpent Chronicles by Katie Keridan. Kyra and Sebastian have several daunting tasks that are set up for them in the previous books. The plot moved in a straightforward manner where things are resolved in the best possible way and lead to the next task being possible. There are a few things that are revealed but are easy to guess at for an experienced reader. The romance scenes are mild making this a story okay for younger YA audiences to enjoy.
This gave me the cozy vibes of Star Wars where there is great evil rising in the world but the good guys prevailed relatively unscathed. The characters have a great system of support from friends and family and they are believed even when proposing huge changes and revealing things about their past lives that seem impossible. Everyone has just the right kind of magic to accomplish their goals and Batty once again is full of surprises.
Overall, this book does well for YA fantasy readers. The characters can make sweeping changes to the realm with little opposition, good conquers evil, and everyone receives a feel good happily ever after with the grand evil thoroughly conquered and justice prevailing.
