Sarah Spencer's family shares a huge secret: most of them have some kind of psychic ability and are on the run from those who will stop at nothing to silence them. Another secret is Sarah's real name is Tessa Carson and unlike her parents and siblings she doesn't share a psychic gift. She only remembers Dennis Connelly, their pursuer's first attempt to kill her. She'll do anything to save her family. Then she encounters Tristan Walker, a cute guy at her new school and finds that being invisible is not as easy as before. And Tristan won't stop until she lets him into his confidence.

What worked: I really enjoyed this engaging paranormal romance of a family on the run from those who want to kill them. Tessa has been used to being the 'odd' one out as she doesn't have a psychic gift. She's also used to making herself invisible to those around her as she knows it's not if but when they have to move again. It's easier and hurts less this way. Her fear of being discovered and killed this time around is very plausible and only verifies her faulty thinking that not getting involved with anyone will mean that person wouldn't be hurt too.

Tristan is the cute guy that tries to gain her confidence. Tessa does everything she knows to not let his charm break down her wall of indifference. I liked the emotional exchanges between these two. I wanted Tessa to finally have some kind of relationship. Tristan seems at the beginning to be good for her. He's totally swoon worthy.

But this story is not all it seems to be. There are more than a few betrayals, lies, and twists of fate. When Tessa does in fact find out the truth about her family and herself? It turns everything she's known and believed on it's tail.

The only thing I wanted though was to find out what happens to all of them as the ending is more of a cliffhanger that will leave readers with more questions. Good thing the next book is available. Can't wait to read!

Engaging paranormal romance where betrayals and lies are at every turn. The bubbling romance between Tristan and Tessa starts out slowly and then concludes with a moment of trust. Who can believe who? And how far would you go to save the ones you love?
Good Points
1. Engaging paranormal romance
2. Psychic family on the run from those who mean to do them harm

It’s not often you find a book that draws you in and just blows your mind! I just loved Deception So Deadly! It was an amazingly written ya novel filled with romance, mystery, suspense, betrayal and deception. I loved it from the very first the page!

All Tessa knows is to run. She and her family have been hunted by a telepathic killer. They have fled home after home, hiding behind aliases to survive. And Tessa is the only one in her family without a psychic ability. She then meets Tristan, whom she likes. But she avoids him knowing their love can never be true when she can’t even tell him her real name.

I loved Tessa, she was sweet, kind and protective of her family. I also loved Tristan, he was great, nice and protective of Tessa. I think they are great together! I loved their connection and the way they understood each other! I liked Logan too, especially when he acted like an older brother to Tessa.

The plot was so captivating and compelling. It drew me in and I was unable to put it down! There was a thrilling aspect to it, as I was reading it I really felt the fear, excitement and emotions of the characters. I just found this novel so good and memorable that you just have to read it for yourself! I’m looking forward to see what’s next for Tessa!
