I adore the characters in the book, especially Echo and Marc. Echo maybe stubborn sometimes, and she’s a little ambiguous about her affection for Marc. But she’s one of those characters I can really relate to—strong and weak at the same time. Marc, on the other hand, is sweet, thoughtful, and caring. His love for Zoe remains unchanged even though she’s gone. I feel like I’m right there beside Marc, wanting to tell him how sorry I am for his loss.
This book reminds me a lot of my past. It teaches me to stay strong even though part of me wants to fall apart. It tells me no matter how complicated things can be, someone will always be there for me. Alyson Noel has created an unique story about loss, grief, and how one’s death can change everything. What a great read!

Good Points
This is the kind of book I will not soon forget. The plot and characters are the most important factors I'm looking for in this book. Alyson Noel has written such a poignant novel about loss and forgiveness.
