4.5 Stars!
Scribbler of Dreams was a romance novel with a Romeo and Juliet vibe.
The Malones and Crutchfields always hated each other and never got along. When Kaitlin Malone falls for a boy that she later realizes is a Crutchfield, she lies about her identity to give their relationship a chance.
I enjoyed reading this book. The plot was exciting and captivating. And the characters were intriguing.
An enlightening read about hate, discovering your true self and love.

i got this book at a garage sale, it was 50 cents. it was a short read, & the cover caught my eye.
and i.loved.it.
caitlen & bram are such troubled ppl. he lost his farther be/cuz of caits dad.
but he didnt mean too. the cunninghams were bad ppl.
but i like how cat & bram fall in love.
but the ending hurt me, when he found out she wasnt a hampton, but a malone.
ah! this book was soo cute. must read it..!

I really loved this book. It was romantic-y in a twisted way, but very nice. This book almost made me cry. However, I think most people would agree that the end of this book was very diappointing. I'll try to explain why without spoiling the book: Well, there's this guy, and this girl. This girl tells the guy 'the secret' and he gets all upset, so does his family. He practically kills her with icy stares. Then, after she does a speech in front of their school, he says 'I never stopped loving you' after. It doesn't work. He never said anything about why he was even being so cold to her. Then, all of a sudden, he never stopped loving her?!?! I thought that part was cheezy. And it ended that way, causing it to be very disappointing. But otherwise, this book made me read more and more. I read it all within 4 hours.

We all know the story of Romeo and Juliet, but what if their story took place in the modern day world? That's exactly what happens to Kaitlin Malone and Bram Crutchfield. After harboring a grudge between the two families all these years, can Kaitlin learn to love thy enemy, especially when he doesn't know she's a Malone? This book will leave a tears in your eyes and wanting more. A great book for both young and old, because love is timeless.

A book full of messages, from the lies that are told to the recognition of the thruth. A complete tearjerker that will make you rethink your priorities and show you that what you have come to believe might not always be true.
Mary E. Pearson is extraordinary, spinning the original Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet into a modern tale complete with it new twists. The Malones and Crutchfields have hated each other for generations. When Kait Malone's father is charged with the murder of a Crutchfield, the family loses its money and the two Malone daughters are forced to go to a Crutchfield school under the pseuodonym of Hampton.
There Kait meets Bram, a talented artist, who Kait soon discovers has a last name of Crutchfield. As Kait falls in love, she hides the thruth of her last name from Bram, building a web of lies which soon catches her. As you read, you take a journey with Kait from her memorable journal entries to her message to the world. You will realize that the world is full of opportunities. This book really held the meaning i was looking for, that we as the future generation have to follow our dreams.

The Crutchfield family and the Malones have hated each other for a long time; the grudge is one that goes way back so its customary for one family to blame the other for all their problems.
Unfortunately, because Kate Malones father is in jail for supposedly killing Robert Crutchfield, money in the Malone family is tight. So, Kate is forced to attend a public school, worse because it is on Crutchfield land. Unknowingly, on the first day of school, Kate falls in love with Bram. Their friendship develops into something more, and when Kate finds out that Bram is a Crutchfield, she is devastated but doesnt let on that she is a Malone. But some people do know. And the truth eventually comes out at Brams birthday party.
When I bought this book, I was expecting a really interesting story, but what I got was only mediocre. I was immensely disappointed in this book. I believe it is supposed to be like Romeo and Juliet with the fighting families, but it was not as romantic or well written. I would not recommend this book.

This book was really good and I gave it a five because it was one of those love stories that make you never want to put the book down. When i read this I first thought that it would be boring, but then I actually read it. Dont let the title or cover mislead you. It is a Romeo and Juliet story you can understand and relate to.
