Study Hall of Justice (DC Comics: Secret Hero Society #1) is a fantastic book for any young reader. You don't have to be a comic book reader to get hooked into the book. But for any comic book fans there are a lot of easter eggs and nods to the origins of the beloved superheroes and villains.
Our main heroes are young Bruce (Batman), Clark (Superman), and Diana (Wonder Woman) who begin to wonder if their school Ducard Academy is all that it seems. They must work together to piece together clues to find out what is going on and if they are in danger. The story is told through comics, letters, journal entries, school forms, and texts. This multi-text story telling helps create a strong sense of world building and makes the story easy and fun to read.
Fans of DC comics will be entertained and it is sure to create some new comic book fans as well. Looking forward to book 2.
