Sejal Sinha Dives for Diamonds on Neptune is the third book in the series. There is a great mix of science facts and imagination in this book, just like in the other books in the series.

Sejal's mother is an astrophysicist who studies the rain on the planet Neptune and the possibility that tiny diamonds can form in the rain. Sejal is fascinated by the idea of diamond rain. She gathers her cousin Ash and her favorite stuffie named Professor Cheetah on an adventure to learn more about Neptune. Sejal's little brother Abu and her dog Fluff stowaway on their spaceship to join the fun.

What I Liked: Maya Prasad's story engages readers in a fantasy tale while educating them about science at the same time. The book also portrays family relationships realistically. The book begins with Sejal and Abu bickering quite a bit. The frustration Sejal feels towards her sibling is very relatable. Abu and his antics add a bit of humor to the story as well. The diverse characters appealed to me, and I would like to read more books featuring Indian characters and families. It is an ideal book for young readers because it has short chapters sprinkled with illustrations.

Sejal Sinha Dives for Diamonds on Neptune will captivate the imagination of young readers.
