I devoured SEVENTEEN magazine when I was a teen, and one of my favorite segments was the "true story" column detailing the terrifying, exciting, or weird experience of some other teen girl. It was the perfect way to live vicariously while still remaining safe from the consequences of that experience.

This short book delivers all the terror, the adventure, and the excitement of those columns in one pithy little volume. From accidentally giving out too much personal information online and gaining a dangerous stalker to having a shoplifting addiction and not asking for help until the cops are already involved, this book takes teens deep into the struggles of other teens. I love that the stories are short and detailed, and I love more that the outcomes are positive and that the writers take time to give resources to any reader currently struggling with a similar situation so that the reader's outcome can be positive too.

This is a book teens will eagerly consume, and I don't exaggerate when I say that some of the advice and experience in this book could save other teens from making very costly mistakes.
