SLOW DOWN contains 50 moments in nature that people will miss on a normal day. Everyone is so busy with life that sometimes they forget the beauty around them. This book reminds us that nature has so many wonderful things to offer if we'll take a moment to just stop and stare.

With fifty mindful moments, you get a little bit of everything, from animals to weather. For example, there's a cat and mouse chase and then another one shows you how a snowflake forms. There's also a spider making its web, a snake shedding its skin, and a squirrel burying its nuts. The illustrations are soft which fits the overall theme of the book since it's all about being mindful.

My daughter enjoyed this book because she loves animals. She liked the moments that were new to her, like the butterfly coming out of its cocoon. I enjoyed reading this to her because there are a lot of things I don't think about on a normal day. It makes me truly want to slow down and take in my surroundings.

Final Verdict: Overall, SLOW DOWN educates children about moments in nature that most other books might not address. The soft and relaxing theme makes this a contender for a descent bedtime story.
