Emily is uprooted from home and forced to move across the country with her mom, Alice. The divorce is all Alices fault to begin with, and now shes obviously trying to ruin Emilys life!

When Emily meets the hunky Stanford Wong and finds out that hes tutoring her new best friend, Millicent, things start to look up. Rancho Rosetta may not be the worst place in the world after all.

Emilys sure her dad is super busy while hes touring with his former band, The Talky Boys. Shes sure hell call when he gets a chance, and in the meantime, the postcards he sends her from the road are a great alternative. Plus, she has the credit card he gave her for her birthday, and she knows how to use it!

Millicent Min, Girl Genius appealed to my nerdy, HermioneGranger-like self. Stanford Wong Flunks Big-Time gave me a deeper understanding of bodily functions and boy humor. But, So Totally Emily Ebers is the heart of this trilogy.

Apparently, even sunshiney people, like Emily, have inner struggle and turmoil in their lives. Emilys naïveté was a little frustrating at times, but that only served to heighten the emotion at the climactic parts of the book, when Emily was forced to face the truththat people arent perfect, and sometimes we hurt even the ones we love most.
