This is a great story for MG and YA readers, and fans of James Patterson's Maximum Ride series will enjoy the adventures of this new group of kids who are just a little 'different.’ ~ Book Noise
On first seeing the cover and reading the summary, I thought that “Solid” would be something new, different, and intriguing - and it was. ~ Between the Covers
Reading its summary will unquestionably get you interested. And reading its contents will get you hooked and addicted. ~ Reading Lassie
Ms. Workinger is worthy of her own place in the science-fiction/fantasy genre, because this really is an original and stand-out novel. ~ Magic of Reading
Brimming with entertaining, loyal characters, a gripping, mysterious back story/plot, teens with superhuman abilities, and a satisfying ending that cleverly paves the way for a pine-worthy sequel. ~ Paranormal Indulgence
If I had to describe “Solid” in one line, it would be - YA version of Robin Cook novels but much more fun and exciting! ~ My Love Affair With Books
Readers who would like a sci-fi adventure with a heroine that is real and realistic rather than a knock-off of a cable TV channel vixen, this is the story for you! ~ Litland
A hint of romance, a splash of mystery, and the superhero powers that they are just coming into, and you have yourself an entertaining, and page-turning read. No sex and no swearing, so even the younger tweens may enjoy this one. ~ Minding Spot
While the plot might be the foundation of this story, its characters were the heart of it. ~ Escape Between the Pages
“Solid” is a wonderful book that brings in a batch of fascinating characters and an intriguing plot that will keep you guessing. ~ Confessions of a Bookaholic
It's always a good indication when you like the main character immediately. ~ One Book At A Time
The story line is very entertaining with a cast of quirky, loveable and memorable characters…comic relief as well as romance. If you like the X-men or Heroes, I think you will like this book. ~ To Read or Not to Read
A different approach to geeky-high-school-girl-turns-special. ~ A Musing Reviews
I fell in love with her characters and had no difficulty completely immersing myself into “Solid.” An amazing read that is enticing and captivating. It kept me gripped from the first place to the last. I highly recommend this book! ~ My Bookish Fairytale
This was a solid (no pun intended) story, and I'm definitely interested in reading the sequel “Settling” when I can get my hands on it. ~ Royal Reviews
I honestly think that for a book that is as good as it is, I don’t think it will get the full attention that it truly deserves. ~ Reading Chic
The story moves at a fast-pace and the characters come to life in a way that will have readers caring about them. I devoured this book in just a couple of days. ~ Socrates’ Book Reviews
