Review Detail

This collection consists of a novella and two short novels put together in a first "volume." As they are pretty short, this is on par with the length of other YA books. I really enjoyed this first installment. The background for why and how Kaylee is who she is is explained and set up really well. Kaylee is essentially a banshee and her screams have the power to right wrongful deaths. You discover a whole world of reapers and banshees in this first book, and I am hooked! The mystery of the deaths which are not otherwise explainable keeps the plot moving forward quickly. I am definitely interested in reading more!
