I didn't really know what to expect from this book when I first started reading it. The cover was beautiful, so I felt like I had to give it a chance. And I went from there.
The main character Hannah is just not redeemable, which makes her hard to like. I don't know what would possess Hannah, to take her boyfriend to a place she barely knew how to get to. That should have been the first red flag. If someplace doesn't show up on google, then I wouldn't go there. And who doesn't bring food to a place that will most likely be in the middle of nowhere? I'm sorry Hannah, but I wouldn't have done the same.
But, the only thing that truly bothered me was that in the end, everything turned out okay. In fact, that awful trip made their relationship stronger? Please, this would never happen. Someone would have died, or gotten hurt, or broken up with someone. The book just ended too easy. The author builds the suspense up, and then it just kind of falls flat.
A lot of the plot just falls short and doesn't seem to go anywhere.
I would probably not specifically recommend this to anyone, because it was just an average read. But, having that said, I wouldn't specifically tell someone not to read it. If it interests you, then read it. If not, I'm not going to force you to read it.
