I really enjoyed this book! Mina's parents are vampires and she has just learned that she has a couple of weeks to decide whether she wants to become a vampire or remain human. The Vampire Council has found out about her (her parents kept her secret from them) and are forcing her to choose. On top of that she has to deal with regular teenage stuff - boys, best friends, boys, snobby girls and regular life. She meets new people when she attends vampire classes to decide whether she wants to or not. What would happen if she decided not to turn? Would her parents support that, would the council punish her or her parents, what about her best friend if she turns? This book was told with humor as a forefront and was just fun to read. The ending wasn't what I expected but it fit. Read this book, Mina will make you smile and her problems will make you reevaluate. However, the best part is the way she deals with it all. There are lots of little side stories, or characters, that help add to the story. Waiting for the second book!
