Recently I began reading the wonderful books by Susan Colasanti. The first book that I had read was Take Me There. I really enjoyed this book! The book is told from three narrators and each person tells the same events differently than the next. The book begins with the one of the narrators Rhiannon. She is devastated over breaking up with her boyfriend Steve. She then goes through the week realizing that she can get over him and that it may be hard to realize but, that he just is not worth her time! The next narrator is Nicole, Rhiannon's best friend. Like Rhiannon she just broke up with her boyfriend Danny. She has mixed feelings over what happened between them only there is more to it than you may think. Not only does she have to figure out what she really feels about her and Danny , she may have to look back at some things in her past that were not so wonderful. The next narrator is Danny. Danny has been best friends with Rhiannon since the 7th grade and nothing more. But, maybe there is more than "Just Friends".
I think that this book is an wonderful portly of high school and all it's ups and downs. I loved how there was a strong theme of friendship and support throughout the book! I found the book a very lighthearted read, even though it does deal with some very serious issues to. This is the perfect book read one afternoon when you're looking for a book just to suck you in and let you get lost in the story!
