Frankincense 'Frankie' works at her family's holiday store. Her family also has a Santa farm where people come from all over to learn how to be a good Santa and even Ms. Santa. Readers see how much this family LOVES Christmas from the decorations to even the little fact that Frankie literally was born in a stable. Add to this though is how Frankie's first kiss wasn't all that and how now she feels she needs to redeem herself. Then there's the cute guy Hector Ramirez who works in his family's tree business across the way. Frankie hopes' he can help her recover from that worse kiss ever. First, she has to survive her Aunt Carole's scheme from ruining this Christmas with her endless requests that include ungodly uniforms only she has to wear to assigning her the unrealistic tasks of replying to letters to Santa. Can Frankie save the day and still keep the Christmas spirit?

What worked: Cute, fun Hallmark Christmas-worthy story. There's a lot to love about this Christmasy YA. Frankie is adorable with all her descriptions of the family Santa School to what is involved in the family's Holiday Shop. Some of the outfits she has to wear at the shop per Aunt Carole's orders are hilarious. More so are the comments on the uniform evaluations that go so far as having customers comment in order to get discounts.

Entertaining with punchy, hilarious at times dialogue. Loved Frankie's interactions with her bestie Alice who helps her brainstorm ways to recover from that terrible first kiss.

I totally could see this as a YA rom-com set during the holidays! Aunt Carole's quest to better the family business using Frankie as Santa's intern has hilarious results. But there are also issues of dealing with the loss of a beloved grandparent and how to help those less fortunate during the Christmas season.

Frankie's relationship with Hector Ramirez is one that readers are sure to relate to. Should she or shouldn't she see if Hector will break her terrible first kiss? And rating the next more worthy kiss? Very fun!

Fans of Hallmark Christmas romances are sure to love this engaging romp in a family holiday store. Filled with endearing characters that are sure to bring a smile to your face.
