To recap the adventures of the Bad Guys so far: they were saving Earth from an alien invasion when their escape pod became a time machine and they ended up in prehistoric times! While being chased by a variety of dinosaurs, the group manages to find a time portal, but their problems are not over yet. The aliens are threatening to terminate Agent Fox, and Mr. Wolf arrives to save the day in the present time. However, some of the dinosaurs have traveled through the time portal as well! The Bad Guys have their work cut out for them even without the egomaniacal Rupert Marmalade, who now has his own reality television show and may cause them problems in the next book.
Good Points
This Special Edition is a frenetic romp of goofiness, and dinosaurs chases, aliens with butts for heads, and psychotropic time travel have a tendency to supercede the plot. Shark gets to try out a lof of his disguises, Snake gets to save the day in his headband with his ninja moves, and Tarantula is glad to earn the respect of his peers, but the most pressing issue of the day is escaping various threats while shouting AAEEIIEEII!!
These books are perfect for younger readers who enjoy giggling over rampant silliness, so hand this to youngsters who have worked through all of Holm's Super Amoeba, Eaton's Flying Beaver Brothers or Trine and Montijo's Melvin Beederman books.
