An Australian shepherd thinks he has the most special flower in the world. He loves the way it smells and how soft it is and how the petals tickle his nose. But one by one, more dogs show up with flowers that seem to be even more special than his! A humongous sunflower with a bejeweled pot? A plant that can survive in the desert? How could his little flower compete against those? But when he accidentally destroys his flower, this pup learns that just because other flowers are special doesn't mean his can't be too.

The Best Flower Ever followings a sweet little Australian shepherd who is so proud of the flower he grew and how it is the most special in all the world. However, they start to doubt how great their flower is when they see what other plants others have. It was bittersweet watching the first dog lose his confidence, then slow build it back up.
There are several valuable life lessons for children, and adults as well.
The Best Flower Ever is a gentle reminder that we all have something that makes us special and unique, and just because we are not like everyone else, that doesn't make us any less special.
I loved the ending, as each dog helped the first dog, either by helping him clean his mess, or donating items for his plant.
The book does not need to have a deeper meaning, it can simply be a cute and fun read.
I loved the illustrations of the dogs and the plants, the colors are soft, lending a peaceful tone to the book. The text bubbles incorporated into the illustrations instead of just plain text make the story more fun and immersive.
