This is not your typical fairy tale, which is actually a good thing. Lilly is one of the smallest creatures in the Kingdom, smaller even than a fly and certainly much smaller than a dragonfly. Lilly is also black and this puts her at odds not only with the world, but with her own kind, who see her as something of an omen or portend for doom. She is cast out by the elders, who blame her for the deaths of her parents and for the evil that is coming upon them. So Lilly is forced to live on her own on the outskirts of the Kingdom. But it's there that she meets a dragonfly and learns the language of dragonflies and it is there she forms the most unlikely of friendships. This friendship eventually expands to include the dragonfly kingdom. When Lilly learns the fairies have suddenly vanished, despite her reservations, she feels compelled to search for them. The journey she undertakes will see her travel the world and learn to use the skills and powers hidden deep within. This is truly an incredible tale, from a master storyteller who, once he is discovered, will surely be as great as any writer out there.
