I love every book by Alex Bracken

Alexandra Bracken has done it again. I absolutely ADORED this book! Though the beginning started out kind of confusing and slow, it quickly picked up and then I couldn't put it down. It was one of those books where I almost regretted buddy reading it because it meant I had to stop after a certain point every day. But it was SO! GOOD!

It was awesome getting Zu's perspective. I loved getting to be inside her head and to hear her voice, especially because we get so little of it (literally) in the original trilogy. I loved her arc, both in the overall series and in this book alone. She's had such amazing character growth and and I would love to follow along on more of her adventures.

The new characters were wonderful! I loved them all so much! Each one was well fleshed out and it was so much fun to see them interacting with each other, as well as with the old favorites. I hope we get to see more of them in the future!

The story was so intriguing. I loved the mystery/thriller aspect and though I was spoiled for a major plot point by someone on instagram, it didn't deter from my overall enjoyment of the book. I thought she did such a fantastic job of weaving this story because while it was very different from the original trilogy, it had similar elements and still felt true to the world she created. I loved the path she took us on and I can definitely see her further expanding this world.

Overall, this book was INCREDIBLE and I highly recommend it for any fan of the original series! Thanks for another addition to one of my favorite series Alex!
