This book is boring, the language is terrible,so I rated it a one. I will never suggest this book to anyone. People are shot, sware words are used, and God's name is used in vain.

this book is about a 13 year old boy who goes to war.he is captured by the Hessians who speak no english.I thought this book wouldn't be one of my favorites, and it wasn't,But it taught me about war,and life back in 1778.I wouldn't recomend this book to some of my closest friends, but if you like war, this is a good book to choose.

How would you like it if you went off to war alone? Well Johnathan wanted to. Would you? After they began to fight he really wanted to go home. When they were 5 min. into it he was the last one alive so he ran than his worst night mare happened. He was captured by Hessians. Well I am not going to tell you any more you will just have to read it. By the way it does speak in German so it is a little hard to under stand what the Hessians are saying. The Fighting Ground is 152 pages long so it is very small. I hope you really like it!!!!!!!!

The Fighting Ground is about a boy named Jonathan
who wants to go to war.So one day while he was sitting at home, the bell rang(the bell means something is going on)and Jonathan ran to the bell hopping it would be war. When he got to the tavern(the biggest place in town)he found out what was going on. There was war with the hessians. Then whenthey met up with the hessians Jonathan was captured.

I did not like this book because it was boring to me. I think that this book is a bad influence because it uses bad words, peaple are killed, and they use gods name in vain.

I didn't excatly enjoy reading this book but i wouldn't say it is horrible. Lets just say that Jonathan ,a 13year old boy, wanted to go to war. So one day he had the chance and he took it . He was fighting the Hessians. He took the chance of not listening to his parnets. So he went off to war. Im not going to give it all away because you have yo read the book.

The title of this book The Fighting Ground didn't catch my attention, but after about 20 pages it started to get good. This book is about a 13 year old boy who goes to war when his parents tell him to not go. Once the fight began everyone ran and Jonathan was left alone. Three Hessian soilders capture him and take him to a house. At the house Jonathan found a boy. When the Hessians fell asleep Jonathan took the boy and escaped from the Hessians. He went home and his dad was glad to see him home and alive.
