The Foretelling is a tale of an ancient tribe of women warriors from the Amazon, who dominate their land by mastering the art of horseback riding. The main character is destined to be the leader of this tribe, and the story follows her emotional stuggles as she decides whether or not she is ready for this position.

A somewhat distant story that is a little hard to connect to but all the same is a very interesting read about a culture dominated by women.
