I had to read this book in 6th grade and i really didn't think it would be very good. I looked at the cover and thought BORING.
Then i read it and in the book the main character Jonas has to learn and keep to himself every precious thing humans hold on to, but his people can't know about it. He cannot share his feelings and newfound emotions with anyone except "the giver". This book has so much depth and a good plot. If you like reading im sure you will love this book, i sure did!!!!!!!!!
