I found this book absolutely delightful. An owner's manual for pre-teen and teenage boys, it is modeled after a car owner's book. This is carried through from the cool cover to the chapter headings (like "Under the Hood").
I have obviously never been a teenage boy, but if I had been, I would have given just about anything for a copy of this book. Actually, if I'm ever a mother, I might want a copy for myself. I've already learned a lot of things I didn't know about the male body and psyche.
The book covers everything from acne to health to sex to drugs to how to read the labels on a bottle of medicine to... You get the idea. It covers pretty much everything.
The chapters that I found the most interesting were the ones that talked about girls and "girl stuff." It was very strange and enlightening to see the things I am most familiar with talked about from a teaching perspective, especially from a book talking to guys.
The sidebars, marked in blue, were also very enlightening, as they often contained quotes from real guys talking about things like shaving or other very helpful tips and facts.
I recommend this book for any guy and for girls to take a peek at and see how the other half lives.
