Fans of The Hunger Games movie and future film students will adore this book. I was so impressed by the level of detail provided in this movie companion. Covering the history of the series, the cast, the set, props, and costumes, it has everything one could want to know about how the movie was made.

I want to dress as a Capitol citizen for Halloween this year, so I pored over the photos of the extras and loved reading the thoughts of the costume designer and makeup artist. This book includes the color palettes for the different settings in the movie, as well as the processes involved in creating the costumes. What I am taking away from reading this is the attention to detail involved in every aspect of the film, down to the roll that Katniss receives as a gift from District 11. It is incredible how much work went into getting everything right.
