I think that this must of been the best book of this series. I feel the reasons why is that Meghan finally got more useful as she managed to learn how to use a sword, so she did not just sit on the sidelines. I also feel that Ash's and her relationship became more real as they both finally opened up and Meghan was not obsessing over Ash as much.
I think that the last two books have been a bit unfair to poor old Puck. He was rejected by Meghan and his feelings were crushed as he was rejected in a very harsh way. He then was bossed around by Meghan after their fight, and he only gave in for the hope of that one day she may love him more than a best friend. I think that this though adds up in Puck's favour, in the terms of the reader's eyes. Puck is a fun lovable character that cracks jokes even in the darkest times, I think he may be the true light in this book.
The love between Ash and Meghan had become more sensible and real in this book, as they did not take such big risks for each other (excluding for Ash fighting for Meghan). It strengthened so it was not more of a teen love and more like they were older.
This book was more exciting and not as stupid as the rest. I think that some of the characters have small flaws that need to be fixed, but other than that, this book is pretty good. I cannot wait to see what the Iron Knight will be like.

I love this book! It is definitely the best in the series (so far anyway). I stayed up pretty much all night to read it, even though I had school the next day, and it was worth it. Definitely.
I will admit though, that I still like Puck better than Ash. I mean, obviously, I saw it coming from book one, that Meghan and Ash were going to be together, but I still liked Puck better. I mean, it was kind of weird, with Ash being all "You are my heart, my soul"... etc. And I didn't like how he didn't let Meghan be strong on her own. He was always protecting her, and I get that, but when Meghan tried to step away from the protection and go out there and kill something, he would get all worked up about it.
I felt really sorry for Puck during this book.
One character that I really liked was Razor. He was really cute in a kind of I'm-a-rabid-puppy kind of way. He was always bouncing around and being chaotic, which I really liked.
I was crying, smiling, laughing, screaming (in my head), and shooting glares at names during the whole book. It was absolutely wonderful.

I. Loved. This. Book. Seriously. I sacrificed three nights of sleep to read it, and it was totally worth it! The entire Iron Fey series has been spectacular, this one is my most favorite so far. Loved, loved, loved it! It's chock full of romance, adventure, humor, and everything else good. Like cookies, rainbows, hugs and a certain Ice prince. If you have not started on this series yet, READ IT NOW.

Just when we thought the series could not get any better, we get THIS. The entire book is an emotional run that had me laughing, crying, and screaming (mentally) with the characters in the pages in front of me. Meghan changed so much in this one, but in a good way. The much anticipated third installment of THE IRON FEY series, THE IRON QUEEN, surpassed my expectations. Julie Kagawa's creative creation just keeps giving as Meghan Chase develops into a brilliant, brave, relentless heroine and battles to save the Nevernever. Julie made my heart completely connect with Ash and Meghan. So much so that I cried, smiled, laughed, and wanted to scream along with them. Julie brilliantly wove the picture of war, love, magic, and humanity that will stay in readers hearts. I expect nothing less from THE IRON KNIGHT, in fact, I am sure Julie will surpass my expections in even more ways than she did with THE IRON QUEEN!
