When a Pincent Pharmaceutical van is ambushed by the rebel group known as the Underground, its contents come as a huge surprise-not drugs, but corpses in a horrible state. It appears that the pharmaceutical company's top drug, Longevity-which is supposed to eradicate disease and ensure eternal life-isn't living up to its promises. Now a virus is sweeping the country, killing hundreds in its wake, and Longevity is powerless to fight it. But when the unscrupulous head of Pincent claims that the Underground is responsible for releasing the virus, it's up to Peter, Anna, and their friends to alert the world to the terrifying truth behind Longevity before it's too late.

I must say, I never want to live forever. To be able to feel yourself melt away, while you still live on is not sounding all that pleasant. To give up having children and experiencing a great love is not worth living forever, and it is not truly living forever, just having an extended life.

i didn't really enjoy this series, partly because I did not really connect with the characters, and as well as the plot getting a bit out of hand. I think that the book needs to go more deeper into the minds of the characters, instead of lingering on the outside.

Also the plot went way to far with the ideas, and slipped slightly overboard, with all the revealing at the end. In book like these, people don't stand around talking for hours on end with the possibility of being arrested or slaughtered. It juts doesn't happen.

All in all, The Legacy is a good book if you enjoy stories about the future and the political side of it as well as the technology and medicine.
Good Points
-Great look into the future of our world
