"I didn't know if high school had corrupted me, or enlightened me. Maybe enlightenment and corruption came together." Alright, so that isn't word for word, but it's pretty close, and pretty interesting I think. This is an awesome book, filled with explicit but interesting and catching stories about Manson. I presonally am a fan of only a few songs (Sweet Dreams is completely awesome as his remake!)but this book definately caught my attention! Reguardless if you like Marilyn Manson's music or not, you should definately read this book. Maybe a few things will enlighten you yourself, maybe give you a little insight on the man behind the music. You definately dont have to be a fan of his music to appriciate this book, or Marilyn Manson himself.

ALERT: This is the graphic biography of Marilyn Manson. It contains explicit sexual plotlines and violent themes, so it is not appropriate for naive readers. I would suggest 15 years as the youngest appropriate age for this book.

That said, I believe the book to be extremely eye-opening and worthwhile. It dispels many of the myths of Manson's intentions and truly reveals his masterminded artistry. Manson is a genius with a great understanding of people and his own reputation. While it's a tough emotional read, I believe high school-age kids would benefit from reading The Long Hard Road Out of Hell for its lessons of a confused, neglected childhood and its effects on a growing person in a world filled with hatred.

Ok, well first of all I think Marilyn Manson is GOD, so I am obsessed with this book, but also, I have read many reviews of this book and many non-mansonites found it quite interesting.

There are tons of great stories in TLHROOH and some are really very funny and make you want to buy all of his cds and books and anything regarding him, but if youre not completely sure if you like him, go to the library and read it. You will not be dissapointed, if not delighted!!

In my opinion Manson is very intelligent and thoughtful, and this is the best book ever printed /issued. Well this is far too long as it is, so I also wanted to say Twiggy is the best person in the world, and NIN's closer goes out to you Twiggs.

Love,
Twiggy Manson

The infamous Marilyn Manson writes an autobiography which touches on his perfect childhood and psychological problems. It's odd how such an average American kid can turn out to be a guy that sings on stage in a chicken costume with half his head painted blue. This book was quite entertaining to read, I laughed frequently, literally LOL (which is rare). He also touches on acusations from people that he does negative things to the audience and animals. Odd book; odd man.
