The Osbournes Unauthorized
Editor reviews
Either I'm getting old or I'm getting out of touch, but I have to admit that I've never actually watched The Osbournes on MTV, so Reed Tucker's unauthorized guide to the show was a little bit of an eyeopener for me. How exactly did Ozzy Osbourne and his misfit crew become America's favorite family?
You'll find out in this book. Reed Tucker gives a brief bio of each family member (including Aimee, the Osbourne that refused to go on the show) as well as a breakdown of each episode.
You'll also find little extras that make the book a fun read (or psychology project...). Experts answer questions on everything from Ozzy's indescribable and indecipherable accent and whether the Osbourne family is a typical American family or not.
Fans of the show are the target audience and this slim guide will give them something to study up on. Even non-watchers of the show will find some interesting things in this book, though I would recommend you NOT give it to your grandmother.
My one caution is that the Osbourne show itself is laced with profanity. Even bleeped out (as they do in the book, replacing bad words with ***), most kids know exactly what is being said. So parents be aware of what your kids are watching (and reading). The book itself is pretty tame.
