Very disappointed. My bff (boom fave friend) Mia has turned into a constant complainer. All she talks about is going to the Prom. What is the biggy? It is just frickin prom! I hate prom, so she should hate it more than me! Only Lana weinberger's love prom! Plus, I hate the fat that Lily is so frickin mean and stupid. I'm glad her bf dumped her for Tina, tina deserves him. I cant believe Mia's still Lily's friend. On the other hand, I can;t believe Mia is still my friend

I stopped reading the princess diaries after this one. It was just stupid! Mia is obsessed with the prom and she really wants Micheal to go with her, and then gets upset when he tells her he doesnt want to. Meanwhile, Lily completely backstabs her by starting a protest against Grandmarie, which incidently almonst cancels the prom.

meg did a great job with this book. it made me laugh so hard. i couldnt help. most of her books are humorus and thats why i love her.
Mia has always wanted to go to prom. she always looked forward to it. their is only one small problem. Micheal (her boyfriend) doesnt want to go. Mia spends just about he whole entire book trying to convince him into going with her. in the end the do go to prom...but its how they get their thats intristing.

Well, I found it in the supermarket.
First thing I saw was the purple cover and the diadem. I took it, with no idea of what it was and who was Meg Cabot.
A hilarous suprise !
I really love the idea and this book convinced me to read another one. I love the scene with Rommel in the restaurant !
But I think that nevertheless, it is not the best one, I took the 2nd now, and I think it is even more interesting ! (Ok, must admit that this PROM story every 5 seconds is a little tiring)
A nice young adult book !

Mia is desperately wanting to go to prom, but Micheal doesn't. In the entire book, she works to change his mind, and when she does, it's one of the best nights of her life. Something really surprising happens with Boris, Tina, and Lily. On Mia's birthday, chaos erupts when Rommel, Grandmere's dog, runs loose at the restaurant at which they are eating. A busboy gets fired, and causes more stress on her, her friedship with Lily, and it may cause there not to be a prom. This is a great addition to the series.

This book is pretty much the same as the others. Nothing new. Nothing really exciting. Mia gets on your nerves after a while and you wonder where the Mia in the first book went. There's some suggestive content that wouldn't be suitable for kids here also. Much worse than I expected. The series is going downhill fast.

Princess in Pink starts out with Mia obsessing about the senior prom, which she is still waiting for Michael to ask her to go to. Soon, its Mias 15th birthday party, and her family goes out to a restaurant to celebrate. This turns into a disaster. Grandmere brings Rommel, her dog, to the dinner. He escapes from her purse and runs right into the busboy, Jangbu. Jangbu spilled the soup all over Grandmere, who complained, and Jangbu was immediately fired. Lily becomes really upset about the turn of events and begins to organize protests. This starts to slowly ruin Lily and Mias friendship. What makes it worse is that Grandmere doesnt think that anything is her fault.
During all this, Mias mother is still pregnant, which is affecting her sanity. But she and Mr. G allow Mia to have a party, and she invites all of her friends. Lily unexpectedly brings Jangbu along. Mias party turns into a disaster when Jangbu and Lily are caught in the closet while playing 7 minutes in heaven. Lily ignoring Boris also makes Mia mad and they stop talking. Then, one day in G&T, Boris does something drastic, which turned out to be a bad idea. And then the prom is cancelled since all businesses are closing because of the protests. Its up to Mia to save the prom, and her only chance to go with Michael.
I thought that this book was really good. It was so much better than Princess in Waiting. So many serious things happened in the book, but Meg Cabot still made it as humorous as possible. Every PD fan has to read this. I cant wait until the next PD book!

This is by far the best Princess Diaries book. I read it on my way to las Vegas in the car and could not put it down, even with the radio playing. Mia is her usual self with her problems with Gradnmere and her Mom's baby on the way. Her friend Lilly starts a strike for busboys against New York's business and it was all caused by Grandmere and her dog! All Mia wants is some peace and normalcy and for her boyfriend, Michael, to ask her to the prom, which he thinks is lame. Especailly since it's her 15th birthday, she feels a bit more grown up and new things atart to happen and she experiences troubles with Lilly. But in the end everything works out, but you have to read it to find out. You won't want to put the book down until the last diary entry, it's so much fun to read! I can't wait for the next book! I recommend this for all Meg Cabot fans, of course.
