this book is basically a fictional diary of a real princess, Marie Antoinette, you know, the Queen of france, the one that got beheaded. This is her "diary" before all of that happened when she was just a teen. this book is good because you learn a lot about her early life. she was reeeeaaaaalllllly self centered, though.

What was life for Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, before she was beheaded? This diary might give you a look into her past. In an arranged marriage, Marie must marry Louis Auguste. She has learned how to speak French, the customs of court life, how to dress, and more, so she can impress Louis. Marie is a headstrong girl that can sometimes be extravagant. But can she impress Louis? Will they love each other? Arranged marriages were more for political reasons that love, but can the two get along?
With political enemies and gossiping people to deal with, Marie has a lot to put up with! This diary may change your view on Marie Antoinette and her husband—they were both later beheaded—or it may not, but this Royal Diary gives readers a peek into Marie’s past.
