I loved this story of four very different best friends. It was a great story about them and a mysterious lucky pair of jeans that just fit each of them perfectly. All their summer tales were filled with drama, love and anger. I loved it. It was a great read. I can't wait for the movie.

OMG!!!! I LOVED THIS BOOK. I COULD RELATE TO ALL FOUR MAIN CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK. MY FAVORITE GIRLS WERE CARMEN AND BRIDGET. THIS BOOK IS ABOUT FOUR GIRLFRIENDS WHO BELIVE THAT THESE JEANS MAKE THEM DO SPECIAL THINGS, WHEN THEY ARE WEARING THEM. AFTER ONE GIRL USES THEM, SHE SENDS THEM OFF TO ANOTHER GIRL. THIS WAS A REALLY GOOD BOOK, AND IF YOU WANTED TO FINISH IT IN ONE DAY, YOU COULD. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE.

This is such a great book. When I first began to read, I was confused, but as I went on, It was like I was inside the story. The way Ann Brashares wrote this novel was amazing and so realistic. This book is definitely a five!

Ann Brashares’s first piece of literary work is a fantasy fiction. I rate Sisterhood: 4, funny, array of genres, excellent! Ann Brashares knows how to reach young girls. She understands them well.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is the story of four young women separated for one summer. They have found a pair of blue jeans that fit all. All of the different styles, all of the different sizes, all of the personalities, and all of the girls.

Lena is a Greek girl traveling to live with her relatives in Greece. She must put up with Costos, the boy who likes her, and the boy who her relatives want her to marry. She also must communicate with those who don’t speak English.

Bridget is an athlete at soccer camp in Baja California. She meets lots of girls, Ollie, Diana, and others who become her friends. She also finds a coach she likes a LOT!

Tibby stays home to work at Wallman’s for money to buy a car. She decides to make a documentary on crazy people and hates her boss, Duncan. Tibby becomes the friend of Bailey, a leukemic girl.

Carmen, the founder of the pants, travels to the South Carolina home of her no longer single father. He surprises Carmen with a fiance and two “step-children.” She must deal with anger and jealousy.

The girls send the pants back and forth in the mail for courage, love, and good sense. Lena, Bridget, Carmen, and Tibby will learn many lessons in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

This novel is a good choice for teen girls. I enjoyed Tibby’s adventures with Bailey. I thought Bridget’s infatuation with Eric was funny. Carmen’s anger at her father was odd. Lena’s awkward relationship with Costos was interesting. I recommend it for 13 and up readers.
