Maybe many
of you have already read these books, maybe others have already seen the movies
... but there are always a few others, like me, who are tired of hearing about
them, but never given the opportunity to read them.  But it is better late than never.

The Sisterhood of the
Traveling Pants is
the
first book in the series that has
the same name. The story begins when
four best friends are splitting up for first time in their life.  Carmen, a Puerto Rican girl is visiting her
father, Lena in going to Greece to spend the summer with her sister and
grandparents, Bee is going to a summer camp, and Tibby is staying home. But
they find a pair of old jeans that magically fit to all of them
, even
though they're all different shapes and sizes. Now they are going to share this
pants all over the summer, and keeping touch with letters.

What can I say?
From the first moment I opened this book I cant put it down. Each character
has its own well-developed story. We can see through the pages truth teenagers
problems and fears. We will see topics like love, friendship, death, loyalty,
and forgiveness. With easy words, Ann Brashares brings to life four teenagers
who are like any real teenager.

I really enjoyed
this book, and when I finished, I went immediately to read the next one. So if
you are one of them, who havent read it yet, give
it a try, you will not
regret it.

Follow Carmen, Bridget, Tibby, and Lena as they spend there first summer apart in a very long time. They share a pair of pants that magically fits all of them, despite their different body shapes. This book is about friendship and how as long as you have a good friend you will never be alone. I loved it!

Everyone has probably seen or heard of this novel which was made into a movie. I admit, I watched the movie before reading the book. But, I think I actually liked reading the book more than I did watching the movie! I could really connect to the characters, and felt like I was walking around in their own shoes. Each of the four girls had a totally different story, which added to the plot greatly. This was a great book, and it ended way too soon. But luckily, it's the first in a series!

The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, written by Ann Brashares was a great book to read from start to finish. It taught me about the gift of friendship we have and how great the bond of friendship between 4 girls could grow so big. I really enjoyed this book and could read it again and again......

If you want a book full of...emotion, love, pure JOY, happiness, and endless friendship...then The Sisterhood is perfect for you. My second real teen book series, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants just digs deep down into the emotion of these four girls--places no other author, as far as I can see, has ever really reached and even wanted to write about. This book isn't just about friendship and a pair of jeans, it's about true love, life, and finding happiness in things and people you love.

Yeah, I have to agree with others, this book definitely surpassed the movie. It was engaging and interesting, and I loved the fact that it was about friendship. You could see that each of the girls hold each others in their hearts, and they are so close that they are sisters. There are other themes involved, but it is friendship that prevails, what brings such a brightness to the book, and which makes a reader truly happy to have similar friends, or envious of a lack of such friends.

Completely compelling, I'd most definitely tell anyone to read it. I usually dislike reading books after seeing the movie, but oh boy, was I missing out until I read it. :D
