The Strange Case of Finley Jayne is a great introduction into the world that the main character of The Girl in the Steel Corset lives in. I read this book before I started the main title, and felt that it was pretty awesome. I was really confused when they talked about automatons that did basically everything in the 19th century, but after I got into it, I really enjoyed it.

Although this book had nothing to do with The Girl in the Steel Corset, I thought that it gave background into her family and the start of the 'dark' thing inside Finley. It didn't mention once about her job as a body guard in the main title, and I was a bit disappointed in that. I think that Finley should of thought about her good times before the thing inside her started to take over.

To conclude, I must say that this book is worth reading The Girl in the Steel Corset, or just want to start off with the prologue. This is a great short book, and I think in some parts I enjoyed this more than its follow up. I think that everyone should give it a try, it is short and awesome.
