The Substitute Kid by Joseph K. Smith is a great book about a girl named Michaela Davis who always seems to get into trouble. In this book, Michaela learns that sometimes, when you try to fool others, you¹re really only fooling yourself.

When Michaela goes to visit her dad at his science lab, she is in for a big surprise. Her dad's latest invention is a robot that is exactly like Michaela. It speaks, acts and moves like her. But, is it capable of fooling all of Michaela¹s friends and teachers? Michaela is determined to find out!

Through a series of plots and pranks, Michaela learns that even though things don¹t always work out as planned, if you are true to yourself, things will work out in the end.

I think this is a great book for girls. It¹s a funny and quick read that you won't be able to put down!
