Is it possible to love the plot but be unsure about the characters? I felt that way with this book. First of all, Cassandra is never assertive enough. She let Lucas push her around in The Mark and the same thing happened in The Vision. The development of the characters was significantly better in this book. As for the whole who is worthy, who is not dilemma, I liked the way she discovered herself in this book. Though I still didn't like her running away from her doubts and problems, it was good to know she finally wakes up and asks the right questions - the ones she should have asked from the start. Overall, this book is intense in many parts and makes you really think about your current perception of faith and religion.
