I had high hopes for this book. This is a cliché, but I really wanted to enjoy Timeless, you guys don't have any idea how much I wanted to. This is my type of thing, too: To travel back in time. That's what Michele Windsor can do. But before I get into all of that, I need to finish writing my disappointment.

I picked up this book, not only because of this gorgeous cover, but from the positive reviews and the description. The first few pages started off with a great kick: She dreams about seeing herself in a mirror; only, her reflection just stares back at her without following Michele. Then a handsome boy appears with piercing sapphire eyes and says, 'I'm waiting for you.' Now Michele has been dreaming about Mystery Boy for a very long time, he haunts her pleasantly. My curiosity and expectations were extremely high after reading the first few pages.

It continued to meet my expectations until she had to move into her grandparents' mansion located in New York City due to a terrible lost (view spoiler). There, she has to follow the Windsor's tradition (with them being an elite family for a century and all). She feels helpless and lonely for having to leave her best friends behind. Michele looks around the old Victorian mansion and finds a journal. But this isn't any old boring journal, it makes her travel back to 1910 to discover things that would change her life for ever.

Y'all would think it'd be great, but it's not. Everything started going downhill. Despite the author's amazing taste in music, the interesting characters; as well as her plot/storyline, it just didn't captivate me. The insta-love was a complete fail and I hate how Michele drops her old best friends. She barely spoke to them; for some reason, it bothers me. The reason I am giving this three stars is because this wasn't a complete waste of my time, it really wasn't. The writing was excellent, and the ending was interesting and I'm looking forward to reading the second book in hopes that it will be better than the first.

This book had me thinking a lot, though. Pages 170-171 Caissie talked about travelling through time. I'm the type that sucks up anything from reading a book that has something to do with what interests me, so reading about that.... What if you could travel back -- or forward -- in Time? I have so many things I'd want to do/change.

Timeless was certainly different from what I’d expected. To be honest, I was hoping for more magic and ballroom dances, but I was still pleased with the plot, though I thought it was all a bit too predictable.

I was fond of all the characters in this novel; none of them were Mary Sues or Marty Stues, and none of them irritated the heck out of me. (A definite plus.) But I was never especially attracted to any one of them, though I did think Michele’s relationship with Philip was adorable. Though very sad, because how can it be possible for two people from different times to be together?

Time travel is a pretty unique genre. It’s one that could be interpreted several different ways, and usually that means that it’s explained by one of three things: futuristic inventions, paranormal abilities, or just magic. Timeless seemed to fall in the “magic” category, which I’m perfectly fine with, though I was hoping that it could be explained better. Like, for instance, why can that key transport Michele to the past? Perhaps that will be explained further in the sequel, but I was really disappointed when I reached the last page and realized that the workings behind time travel weren’t discussed.

The plot was pretty predictable for me. I discovered secret identities much, much earlier than they were revealed (I had a sudden revelation in the middle of the book that made me gasp in awe of my fantastic clue-detecting skills). Though I do admit that I was taken aback by that ending. That cliffhanger of an ending was pretty shocking.

Timeless was an easy, fun read. There wasn’t anything especially spectacular about it, but it was a light read that I enjoyed. I’d definitely suggest it for readers who like starcrossed lovers.

I keep going back and forth about this book. I love the premise. It reminds me of a reverse "Time Traveler's Wife" or "Kate and Leopold" (the movie not the book). I was hooked by the exhausting pace of the book and the main characters (especially Phillip). However, I was a little let down by this book when I finished reading it. The book seemed to go in so many different directions- I felt unsatisfied. I really felt as though each section of this book could have been put into its own novel- it felt very rushed and sometimes jumbled. And to be honest- the main love story started out very sweet, but then was completely unbelievable (is that giving away too much?) I would say this is a borrow book, not a buy book. I hope that the next one that comes out is better!

I'll admit it, the first thing that drew me to this book was the face of a beautiful girl looking wonderingly from the cover. However, what drew me into this book isn't the pretty cover. The description on the inside of the book is really intriguing and gives just enough information for the unassuming reader to buy the book or check it out from the local library.

Michele Windsor, the protagonist of the novel, loses her mother in a drunk driving incident. Devastated, she is sent to live with her ridiculously wealthy grandparents who had previously "disowned" her mother. Her mother was, in part, disowned because of Michele; when she was just a young adult, her mother had fallen in love with a mysterious young man by the name of Henry Irving. As Henry Irving was not especially rich or famous, the Windsors disapproved. In order to marry her first love, Michele's mother runs away with Henry Irving only to be seemingly abandoned by him before Michele's birth. Michele and her mom live along with each other for company.

After the aforementioned terrible car accident, Michele is sent to live with her wealthy grandparents, the Windsors. Unable to get comfortable in her new extravagant home and unwelcoming school, Michele looks through boxes brought from her California home and finds an interesting key. When the key draws her to a lock containing Clara's (an ancestor) diary, Michele is miraculously transported back to 1910. There she meets her ethereal ancestor Clara, as well as her love interest, Philip. Can a relationship survive the gap of time?

I liked this book from the start, the writing is descriptive, but not to the point of annoyance, the main character's feelings and anxieties are tangible throughout the novel, and the reader gets a sense of the pervading atmosphere of the novel. This book is great for readers who enjoy fantasy/magic, romance, and intrigue. I was so happy to reach the end of the book and find a "To Be Continued".

I loved this book!! Timeless by Alexandra Monir is breathtaking! It captured my heart right from the beginning! Timeless is about a girl named Michele that went through a horrible tragedy and had to move from California to New York. When she gets to NY she is suddenly able to travel back in time! She meets the guy that she has had dreams about for years! This story is one of the most romantic stories I have ever read!
I haven't read a book in a long time that has gotten to the brink of tears but Timeless did just that! At times the story is so romantically sad that it just broke my heart and other times I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face!
This is one of those books that as soon as I started reading it I could not put it down. I read it at every spare moment I had. I was so involved with the story that it felt like my own reality! I don't have any complaints about this book at all! I recommend it to anyone that loves ya romance, you will not be disappointed! The ending of this book blew me away and I can hardly imagine having to wait another year for the sequel.
