I first read Titanic: The Longest Night a few years ago. I was sitting at my computer, waiting for something to download and started to read this book to pass the time. Only a few pages in I didn't want to quit reading it and finished it that same day. Since then I have read it a hundred times over and it remaines to be one of my all time favorite tales. It captures perfectly the raw and determined emotions of young love, fear, and loss. Diane Hoh is a gifted author who was able to take a very familiar story and make it feel new and fresh.
