Touching Spirit Bear

This is one of my favorite books. It is about a boy name Cole who has some trouble with the law. He gets in a fight with a young boy and Cole gets arrested and has a choice of either going to jail or go to a remote island in Alaska. He has a few encounters with a mysterious white bear. He begins to change his life and become a better person. He is alone in the Alaskan wilderness with nothing to think about but the path ahead of him. I would definitely recommend this book.

Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen is my favorite book yet. I rated it a nice 5. let my tell you a little bit of what this book is about. It is a wonderful book about a kid named Cole Mathews that gets into trouble a lot with the community. He also gets angry a lot (some times for the littlest reasons). He is sent to an island for a year all alone to think about himself and his decisions. A white bear attacks him and while lying there dying, Cole has a chance to think about his life.
What I like about this book most is that Cole finds a way to change and make is horrible life better. My dad is reading this book too and he likes it just as much as me. I recommend this book to you and youll find out how good it is& so start reading!

Touching Spirit Bear follows a juvinille delinquent who severly beat a kid from school. Instead of ending up in jail he goes through another form of punishment called Circle Justice. Circle Justice decides his punishment should be a year of solitary confinment on a deserted island. When he gets there he is very angry. Since he is so angry he begins to torment a bear and then is viciously attacked. The story follows he struggle to stay alive and his realization that he needs to change his life.
This is an excelent coming of age story. Everyone should read this great book
