Tree Whispers: A Forest of Poems has made a great addition to our homeschool library!

The poems are fun and lyrical, while also being informative! The poems are written both in rhyming and free verse, and would be a great reference for any level of poetry study.
The subjects, while all revolving around trees, range in subject from odes to the diversity of the forest, to rhythmic conversations between trees, to snapshots of cultural traditions surrounded by trees.

I loved that the author shines a light on the diverse populace of trees, as well as the world full of a multitude of unique humans!

The illustrator showcased these differences beautifully. From leafy oak trees to changing sycamores. The representation in this children's book is great. Inclusive featuring people with a wide array of skin colors, hair styles, body differences and traditions.

Our favorite poem had to be Tree's Storm Song. It was super fun to read aloud with the children, and the added translation was beautiful.
