Twilight tells the epic love story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. Cliche, however, it is not.
You see, Edward is a vampire.
Immediately upon meeting, the two begin to fall in love, avoiding the horrible realization that Edward is the animal and Bella should be the prey. His thirst for her blood and his love for her soul constantly battle each other to be dominant. What happens?
Meyer's personality shines through in her writing style, and the next two books in the saga are both wonderful. A worth while read even for those who, like me, have never enjoyed stories about vampires or anything supernatural. Also, perfect for the hopeless romantic.
