My daughter (16 years old) is an avid reader and was hooked on Stephanie Meyer the instant she read "Twilight." She kept wanting me to read it, but I just never found the time.
Now, many of my 7th grade girls are reading it so I figured it was about time for me to read it too. I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised by this book.
It is basically a love story and one of the main characters is a vampire, but there are so many parts of the book that young adults can relate to. The characters deal with peer pressure, falling in love, trying to be accepted by others, etc.
My school library chooses not to carry this book, but I think I will put it in my classroom library very soon!
