Twilight is a book about a dark romance between a very normal girl and a very not-so-normal vampire. At first Edward, the gorgeous vampire makes a great effort to ignore Bella but when unexpected circumstances rise the two are thrown together and they fall irrevocably in love, even if that love is more dangerous than either of the two could ever have predicted.

The book is written with so much care that you can actually feel the love the author has for these characters, as though she knows them personally. The plot is excellently executed; the story unfolded slowly enough to build just the right amount of anticipation and excitement.

I also loved the ending. Though this book is part of a trilogy the ending was not left on a ridiculously open ending, but with just the right amount of interest that will have all the readers clamoring for the next in the series. Even thought he book is PG it still manages to be breathtakingly romantic.

New Moon (second in the trilogy) coming in October 2006.
