I will admit, at first I was kind of scared to read Stephanie Meyers Twilight. I mean, Im not exactly the bravest person on the face of the planet. In fact, Im QUITE scared of the&supernatural. But the cover of the book was itself so intriguing that I really couldnt stop myself from reading it...

Twilight surprised me, in a good way. Although the book is based on the supernatural- vampires, to be specific- its not scary at all. Its more inclined towards being a highly interesting teen romance.

The story revolves around Bella, a 17 year old who moves from sunny Phoenix to cloudy Forks to live with her Dad. Soon she notices Edward, an extremely handsome classmate who behaves very strangely with her- ignoring her, looking at her hostilely, even wanting to change classes so that he doesnt have to sit with her and then saving her life!

Bella gets highly confused at this behavior and when she confronts him, he gives answers which Bella cant figure out. She later finds out that hes a vampire- but a good one. Yet, by this time, Bella has fallen in love with Edward and couldnt care less about whether hes a man or a monster. Edward, too, falls in love with Bella. And thats where the story begins.

I loved Stephanie Meyers writing style. Shes successfully managed to make this story seem extremely believable. In fact, while reading this book, I truly felt as though I was transported to Forks and was experiencing everything Bella was.

A perfect book for both scardy-cats who find vampires scary but still wants to read about them and hard-core horror story readers alike. Cant wait for the sequel!
