Twilight (Twilight #1)
User reviews
How that happened, I work at an elementary school and I noticed all the kids (boys and girls) reading it, then I noticed that parents were reading it, and finally a few of my friends had it... I had to see what could possibly have all of these people interested. Yeah, I was hooked after the first couple of chapters. I couldn't put it down and I swear my husbands jaw dropped when he saw me reading. lol
It's a classic teen infatuation story, add some mystery and vampires to the mix and you have a pretty good story. I think what makes it is the writing style. Everything flows from beginning to end and it's almost as if it's really happening.
ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE "BAD" VAMPIRES LIKE VICTORIA HANGING AROUND JUST WAITING TO CAUSE PROBLEMS. EDWARD SETS HIMSELF ON A PATH OF DOING ANYTHING TO KEEP BELLA SAFE
THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN BEAUTIFULLY AND APPEALS TO EVERY GIRLS HEART YOUNG OR OLD!
HAS A LOT OF ACCURATE METHOLOGY AND NATIVE HISTORY
Twilight is an awesome book that you will want to read again and again! it is the kind of book that you get sucked into, and never want to stop! once you pick it up, you will never want to stop, you will dread every minute your not reading it. You are always wondering what will happen next. Plus it has enough romance for girls, and enough action and weirdness for guys!
I love Twilight (The whole series but mostly Twilight!) because I just have a THING for vampires: They are hot, strong, fast, and some have cool talents. I llike any books that are about `mythical' creatures because I KNOW they are all out there somewhere, they are just hiding good. Vampires paired with a a girl that is clumsy and throw romance and mystery and action into it, that makes a good book. I like the first book in this series the most because it is all new and you don't know what this interesting hot guy IS. And then when the romance starts, it is all new and they haven't been together long so it is interesting to see the way it plays out. There are a lot of Twilight Haters out there but I think that most of them didn't even give the series a chance because of the popularity of it. Haters or not, I love this book and would reccemend it to ANYONE, even Twilight Haters.

P.S. I didn't mean to put this same review on another book with the same title, I wasn't sure which was which. So please excuse that mistake. This is the book I wanted it on. (I think!)
Seventeen year old Bella Swan moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington to go and live with her police officer dad. At her first glimpse of Forks, she finds that everything is different. From it is raining always, to the grass is REALLY green, she finds that this is very different then Phoenix. When she goes to her new school, she finds that there is something weird about the Cullen family. They are pale white, they dont eat lunch, and nobody seems to be friends with them. Also they are all very attractive. When Bella finds out that that they are vampires, Bella is not scared. She has to go through many dangers to be with her vampire love, Edward Cullen. When danger is there in Forks, Bella must learn not to be too friendly with all creatures.
I really liked this book because it has vampires, but not really in a violent way. Also, it shows that you can be friends with anybody, not matter how weird they seem. It is also a romance for those who like romance, so I would give it five stars. It also has a good motto for the book. It is: In everybody, there is a good person, so you can be good friends with anybody. (Even if that creature is a vampire! J)
You would like this book if you like romance. It has lots of romance. You would also like this book if you like some action. In the other books, there is more action, but this has plenty of action in it. You would also like this book if you like to read mythical stories, or stories that have creatures, or things, that arent real, and you would find them in scary stories. Vampires are DEFINATLY mythical. I hope that if you read this book, you will love it as much as I do. Twilight is a great book, that to me is a five star book.
This book is about a girl that has never been in love. And when she leave her mom, and home in phoenix, to stay with her middle-aged, divorced dad... she stumbles into love. But it isnt the type of love she has expected. when she finds out her first true love is a vampire, she decides to join him, in his vampire world, to be forever by his side. she is put through so much, bitten & tracked by "bad vamps" she still decides he is worth the pain. she is determined to keep his secret no matter what she has to go through.
I'm sure there are a million reviews already for the Twilight series, but it's too good to pass up on doing a review. Bella is cute heroine, if a little whiny and hard to identify with. Are there really teenagers out there as down to earth as Bella? But she makes a nice girl for Edward. Edward is the dreamiest of dreamies...he says the most perfect things, his actions toward Bella are amazing, especially for just meeting her, and of course - he is gorgeous! The setting is perfect, a small town with a small high school and nice friends. I really enjoyed Twilight, the first book in the series as well as Breaking Dawn, the final book. The middle two, New Moon and Eclipse, involved a lot of fighting and battles - and a sulky Bella - which wasn't that interesting.
A typical teenage vampire lovestory...ha, is there such a thing? I little too mushy for me, but I don't fit the expected age of the audience (well over 40)! I did enjoy the action between the vamps and the weres, always finding new "stuff" vamps can and cannot do. The book is worth the read, the movie...not so much!
I probably won't read it again
Now that the Twilight series has exploded with almost cult-like popularity, its various features and drawbacks have been picked out and away at by various critics. I do agree that the Bella and Edward love story is not perfectly ideal- but I think teens can handle it. Can adore the couple's chemistry while not adhering every aspect to their own life and be able to see it all in a fantasy context. The writing of Twilight is very straightforward, like a teen's diary practically.
This book was absolutely amazing, I loved the use of language, the story,
the threads, the tightly plotted story, everything about it was just perfect,
I had so much fun reading twilight and the sequels new moon, eclipse and
breaking dawn. I read them over and over! Alluring, Mysterious,Heartbreakingly
beautiful is my description of both the book and the characters!
Props to steph! She's AMAZING!!
