Bella Swan, a seventeen year old girl, lives an ordinary da-to-day life until she moves to the dreary and cold Forks where her father, Charlie lives. She then starts school at Forks High where she meets a very strange and peculiar looking family. They are all beautiful, with there pale skin and gold eyes but Bella is only interested in Edward Cullen with his touseled bronze hair and crooked smile. Little does she know that he is keeping a dark and dangerous secret from her. A secret that coul either save or destroy her life. Edward Cullen and his family are all vampires and Edward thirsts for Bella's blood.
In a four part series, 'Twilight' is the first of Stephenie Meyer's wonderful creation. The book came to Stephenie in a dream she had one night. Soon after, there lay the complicated love story between a vampire and human. Each detailed chapter of the book is a different dream from a different night. Stephenie would wake up of a morning and take notes on the latest addition of the never-ending story. After she had found the main plot of her novel she wrote it as a book and soon after it was published.
Teenagers and yound-adults alike all over the world sit and read 'Twilight' and are moved by the compelling characters and the great storyline that Stephenie's imagination has created. Althought the vampire theory sounds childish and fairytale like, the romantic side completes its maturity and encourages you to read more. Along with Stephenie Meyer's great writing skills and the fabulous moving of the characters as they go along their journey, 'Twilight' is definately on the list to be an enticing, well-known story like Romeo and Juliet or Cinderella. Even after finishing the book the story continues to stay with you in both your heart and mind. In my opinion the book has started a new revolution of stories to come alive an that the book series will always have someon in it's reach.

twilight is the best book ive red in my life. its so real and shows so much feelings put into it. when i strated reading the books i red it fast so i could straight away get to the next one.
my favourite part in the book has got to be at the start when bella and edward first meet in the biology class its so good. it was also funny when he was avoiding her in the cafeteria too.
great book cant wait to finish the whole series

This book is very good. at the beginning of the story it is a little slow, but then it picks up and you can not put it down.
This story follows Bella in her journey to live in a new town, and to be new to school; she finds love in that of Edward Cullen, a vampire. will she risk her life for her one true love?

Where to start? The book is in first person, something I'm not usually keen on, so I was skeptical to start it at first, but since everybody had been talking about how wonderful it was I decided to give it a try. I only wish I'd picked it up sooner.
Without giving too much away, the story centers around 17 year old Bella Swan, a regular girl with a regular life. But not for long...
She moves away to live with her Father in Forks, and there she meets the boy of her dreams. Except thats really what he should be..a dream.
Edward Cullen is no ordinary guy, he is a vampire. With a twist.
That is where I'll stop with plot lines because too much of the plot will give away this books ending and the other books plots.
All I can say is that it is an amazing book and I've only not given it five *'s because sometimes Meyers writing style can be a bit off.

Twilight is a one of a kind book. The main character, Bella, moves to the small town Forks to live with her father. At first, Bella doesnt expect to like it in boring Forks, where it rains too much, its way too green, and everyone knows everyone. But she soon finds herself intrigued by a very unusual family, especially their son Edward Cullen, who she has biology class with. Strange occurrences bring Edward and Bella together, and they immediately feel a connection. However, as much as Bella and Edward love each other, their relationship is far from simple. Because Edward Cullen is a vampire and is thirsty for Bellas blood.
Stephenie Meyers writing is amazing. I was enthralled by the book within the first few pages and could not put it down. She writes the most beautiful descriptions without ever becoming boring. The romance in her book is perfect, it never gets to the point where its cheesy. Twilight is an unforgettable book that everyone should have sitting on their bookshelf.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! This is such a good book. It's the best book written so far. It's about a girl, Bella Swan, who falls in love with Edward. Only there's one problem...he's a vampire. There's also a boy named Jacob who no doubt likes Bella. Everything is ok, until some other vampires come to visit Edward and his family. Unlike edward's family, the others hunt humans. One of the vampires, James, comes after Bella, and edward defends her. james is competitive so he immediately decides to hunt her. All of edward's family try to help Bella. This book is great, and you will not be able to put it down. I HIGHLY recommend his book.

Bella Swan is an interesting girl. She moved to a town she hates to give her mother and new stepdad some space; she denies not one, not two but THREE boys when asked to go to the school dance; and her life is saved on a regular basis by a "vegetarian" vampire.
Not exactly a wallflower, if you catch my drift.
Bella first spots Edward and his family in the lunchroom on her first day at her new school in Forks, Washington, one of the rainiest towns in the country. The Cullens are considered outcasts at school, even though every last one of them is breathtakingly beautiful. Dark rings under their eyes and pale skin set them apart just as well as their generally unsocial moods do. But Bella is curious...
What is it about Edward that makes him so wary around Bella? Where do his sudden rage/curiosity flashes come from? And will Bella decide he's worth it when she finally finds out?
I was cautious at first when introduced to this book because the cover and general vampire theme threw me off its scent, so to speak. But as soon as I got into it, I couldn't stop, finishing the book in a little over 24 hours. Take my advice, just read it already!

When Bella Swan comes to Forks, Washington - a small town where it almost always is cloudy, she finds much more exciting things than she had ever thought she would.
Bella has come to live with her father, Charlie, in the town that she practically hates. She wants to do something for her mother, so she moves here. She doesn't seem to fit in seamlessly with the other students at Forks High school - though she does make a few friends. She notices a group of pale, but beautiful students sitting at their own table, away from everyone else. They are the Cullens, a family of children adopted by Doctor Carlisle Cullen. In biology she is forced to sit next to the bronze haired Cullen. She notices right away that he sits far away from her, at the very edge of the table. The next day when she is back in biology, the bronze haired boy does a strange thing: he introduces himself. Bella doesn't know if he hates her or not, but she is curious about this boy. She notices he is different. Eventually she finds out that he is a vampire. But this does not scare her, as most girls probably would be. She knows she is in love with Edward Cullen, and that is all that matters to her. When Bella spends an evening with the Cullens, the worst happens. Out-of-town vampires show up and they smell Bella, and know she isn't a vampire. One of them is a tracker, and he wants one thing: Bella. Bella is forced to leave town with two of the Cullen children, Alice and Jasper. But leaving doesn't quite keep her safe. In her hometown of Phoenix, she runs into the tracker, James, who almost kills her. But just in time, Edward saves her - making their love stronger than ever.
This book was a great read. It was exciting and had a bit of adventure, which made it a book I couldn't put down, as many others who are now fans of the series. I liked it very much because it was an original idea. I liked how the character's names weren't very popular, and how Stephenie Meyer wrote it. I would recommend this book to any teen who loves to read - and loves a good story.

Bella Swan hates Forks Washington. But when her mom gets remarried and wants to travel around with her new baseball playing husband Bella decides to let her mom have fun and move in with her dad in the small rainy town. She pretty much thinks she signing her life away, new people, no sun, too much green, and gym all four years of high school (gasp!), until she sees the five hauntingly beautiful members of the Cullen family. But the most beautiful, Edward, appears to hate her instantly. Bella wonders what she could have possibly done to offend him as they continue to avoid each other. But when Bella almost turns into road kill and Edward saves her life under impossible circumstances she realizes the truth. Edwards not human.
I am absolutely, possitively, 100% in love with this book :-). The story draws you in from the first word, and it doesnt let your attention slip until the very last word. Then youre immediately thirsty for more! I've never read a book with more well developed characters, or one so descriptive in the least amount of words. Come on, you know the books, that go on forever describing one little event? This isnt one of them. Most people snub their noses at this book as I try to explain it to them. They act so interested but the second I mention the word vampire they turn away so fast Im surprised they can still keep their balance :-p. It's not about the vampires. It's about the inevitability (Spelled right?) of their love. Very Romeo and Juliet. The love story is the best part of the book and its so incredibly sweet, you'll immediately go out in search of your own romantic vampire boyfriend! This is by far a novel to challenge JK Rowling!

The book "twilight" has become an instant hit since it's been released.
