2 THUMBS WAY, WAY UP! the second book in the series is even better then the first! There's kidnapping, Declarations of love and death.
Rose, the  main character has soo much going on that she needs a vacation, and going to a snowy mountain tops the answer. Until, she gives out secret information that gets her and her feinds kidnapped from eveil vampires. and it doesnt end well, but at least Dimieti, her love/ teacher, realizes he to, cant be with anyone but her. read it many times and straongly suggest it.

Okay, just when I thought there could never be a better book than Vampire Academy, Frostbite is here to prove me wrong. This book is amazing!

First of all, Rose and Dimitris relationship becomes way more complicated (I didnt know that was even possible) putting Rose into an even more sassy mood. Her character is constantly changing, but in this book she seems to be a little more constant. She spends most of her time being jealous and just plain angry.

As if her problems with Dimitri arent enough to get my attention (which they are) now there is a new guy, Adrian Ivashkov, a prince with a party-boy reputation. Of course this doesnt stop Rose from spending time with him, even if it is against her will. As much as she dislikes Adrian, she continues to find herself drawn to him. I personally think he is one of those bad boys that every girl wants to make into their good boy, which makes me wish I was Rose!

But with all this being said, the pace definitely picks up in this book as danger from the Strogoi becomes magnified more than ever. Suddenly boy problems become the least of Roses worries as she has to face her first (not counting Natalie) Strogoi battle.

To sum it up, THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. I give it a 5/5 of course.

The book picks up about a month after the 1st book and Christmas is quickly approaching. This leaves the vampire community in shock and weary of thier surroundings. Fearing for the safety of the students and their families, the students of St. Vlad's head to Idaho for a ski trip in a Moroi owned resort.

Rose and Lissa are back, with new problems brewing. Rose keeps getting sucked into Lissa's mind when her friend is with her boyfriend, Christian. But Rose has boy troubles of her own. She's in love with her mentor, Dimitri, who is 7 years older than her and will be guarding Lissa with her after graduation. To try to get over her love of Dimitir, Rose tries to LOVE her best guy pal, Mason. When she realizes that she cannot get over Dimitri, a fight between her and Mason brews. This leads Mason and group of fellow students out of the safety of the resort to try to fight the Strigoi themselves.

Rose, with the help of Christian, manage to leave the ski resort, without telling anyone-even Lissa- to go find their friends and bring them back to safety. Things get complicated when they are caught by 2 evil and dangerous Strigoi. Trapped in a basement for days without food and water, Rose and her friends have to come up with a plan to get out of there alive. Unfortuneatly, sacrifices had to be made and not everyone gets out alive.

Rose has to deal with the first death of a friend while realizing that her future life as an adult guardian will not be easy or fun. She now realizes what Dimitri has been trying to tell her all this time.Rose is forced to grow up, mature.

Look out for the next book in the series, Shadow Kiss.
