This book is really good! I loved it so much and I can't wait to read more of the series! I'd just finished reading The Siren, a recent book by Kiera Cass. When I read that these odd, quite noticeable girls had sharper than normal incisors, I thought that this was just another vampire book series. However, something kept me going. When I found out that they were sirens, I was really shocked. I had just read a book on sirens! I should have known better! This book provides a very promising start to the Watersong series. I enjoyed this book so much and I definitely recommend this book and The Siren to anyone who enjoys reading about sirens and wants different perspectives.

I have never read anything like this book before. I didn't really know much about it when I started to read it but by the second chapter I was hooked. I LOVED this book so much and I am very happy and willing to continue the Watersong series. There were times in the story when I would laugh out loud and the wonderful characters and the story line was Amazing! Amanda Hocking all I have to say to you girl is DAMN you can write!
My only problem with the book and this comes with a warning is the very detailed way in which the blood and gore is described. Though this book is a YA novel I would like to warn people now that if they are bothered by that sort of thing then read this book with caution!

I have never read a Amanda Hocking book before, and the Watersong series is a good start. The reason I picked up because of the cover, which is beautiful. It just made me want to know what the story was about. I did enjoy it it. Its a quick and fun to read, especially for the summer.

I have always like mermaids; in fact, The Little Mermaid was my favorite fairytale growing up, for that's how my fascinating with mermaids started. Theses mermaids or Sirens as they're called in the books, are pretty creepy. They're beautiful but evil.

This is an interesting take on the siren and leans more toward the classical version. The characters have real problems and still Hockings blends fantasy and real life smoothly.
