A funny baby in a huge pair of polka-dotted diapers gazes out at us from the pages of this adorable "How To" book. If just sitting around is getting dull, then it's TIME TO LEARN HOW TO WALK, we learn.

The first goal is to actually get up there on your feet. This is not as easy as it might seem, as we see from our baby, on his/her back with yellow pom-pommed booties waving in the air. Literally "step by step" the book takes us through all the stages of walking. Finally--TA DA!!--success is achieved.

Marla Frazee, justifiably well-known for her detailed, whimsical illustrations, gives us yet another hilarious and yet somehow poignant picture book to treasure. I gave WALK ON! a test run, reading it to a group of kids from age eighteen months to ten years. Every kid laughed appropriately and loved the book. Later, I found their parents and grandparents rereading the story to themselves, chuckling quietly. Very highly recommended.
