I have been surprised by how much my little girls love this book! Written in a form directly addressing the reader, this book 'tells' the reader how he or she can get started on the road to stardom. The author herself was in a band with her sisters for 30 years, so the advice comes direct from someone who knows what they're talking about.
There are cute, colorful illustrations and some repeated phrases, like, "Make sure you keep practicing!" throughout, and fun, down-to-earth reality-checks, like the fact that some people will eventually stop caring about the band and write criticisms like, "The Thirds are for the birds." With the birth of my third daughter and two girls who already have a strong love of music, this book is both entertaining and inspirational for what could be, or for just dreaming.
