What a Map Can Do covers all sorts of maps – what they do, how to use them, and how to read them! Maps of rooms, cities, bus routes, bodies, star mapping! All the maps!

I loved the variety of maps covered. As a homeschool parent, I'm thrilled to have this book as a teaching tool for our unit on maps, as well as building problem solving skills. Each new map opens further discussion and they easily pair with fun hands-on activities!
The different concepts like a bird’s eye view, symbols, keys, a compass rose, the difference between interstates and routes, weather terms, constellations, an index were amazing.

While What a Map Can Do is super full of information, it’s done in such a way that children are engaged, interactive, and having fun all along the way. My children loved the bright and colorful illustrations, with fun little things on each page for children to find.
